Brilliant holiday

Stayed for 1 week in January 2007 at Conrad Hotel. Treated like royalty by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Weather brilliant, snorkelling from hotel jetty even better.The only downside I found was that the authorities need to get the airport organised, it was absolute chaos

Bring it on!!!!

Went to sharm in March/April and within 4 days of returning had bookd to go back! It was the best holiday i have ever been on. Brilliant for all ages and you never get bored! The hotel staff at the (in my opinion- underrated) Mercure Luna Sharm on Ras Um Sid were so friendly, there was nothing that was too much trouble for them. The hotel was clean, the food was varied and always fresh. Excellent value for money. Naama bay has a fabulous night life, the Hard rock cafe was fabulous and so cheap!- Less than £20 for two meals plus wine, spirits and beer. Old Sharm is a must see!- It is totally there for tourists and haggling is a mut but if you do it right, you will get all your souveniers for about £10! Bedouin Nights are fantastic but take a pullover as desert nights turn chilly! I would recomment this place to anyone, and if you go to Mercure Luna, Tell Kamal and the gang that Gracie and Sparky sent you, you'll get a beer or 10! SHARM ROCKS!- AWOOHOO!!!!

sharma whole new experience!

Just back from a lovely week at the Hilton Waterfalls Hotel.Staff cannot do enough to make your stay pleasant.Rooms lovely all with sea views or blacony.Food at the hotel is very good with plenty of choices,and Im happy to say no-one got an upset tummy throughout the whole stay.Buy cold drinks from supermarket up the road its much cheaper.Dont bother changing money til you get there they have their own bank at the hotel with an excellent rate. Reccomend quad biking with tea with the bedoins as afternoon out-buy your headscarfs first tho. Must just mention the taxis-I was petrified the first time we got in one to Narma Bay they tend to drive a little fast in not very well maintained cars-also only get in bluea nd white taxis and dont pay more than 20 egyptian pounds Also dont be to put of by the hassle you get from shpokeepers-just say no and if you do buy somethinf from them they expect you to haggle!

Another world!

Sharm el Sheikh is beautiful and although I have a personal policy never to visit the same place twice, I would love to go back right now. The weather was superb for our entire trip in October. The people were lovely although sometimes a bit pushy is naama bay, but easily ignored. The choice of hotels and restaurants is superb and ideal for any budget.

"We loved it"

We went to Sharm el sheik in October and it was amazing. gr8 weather everyday, peaceful atmosphere polite people and the colourful fish to swim with.10/10 were goin back real soon.

Going back in May- can't wait

We were in Sharm in November and loved it. Our hotel was built in the Nubian style and had a fabulous atmosphere although it needed a bit of tlc. The people were fabulous, very friendly and helpful, and we felt safe wherever we went. The shopping is not wonderful but the atmosphere in Naama Bay in the evening was great and the opportunities for "people watching" were plentiful from the roadside cafes. The climate is wonderful and a real bonus for asthma sufferers like me - not one wheeze all the time I was there! There were a lot of people complaining of stomach upsets. This amazed me as we had absolutely no trouble at all. Perhaps they need to look at their own hygiene standards and not overindulge. We had a great holiday and plan to repeat it this month.
