Make sure you get a good hotel... ours was excellent (Baron Palms).. can't wait to go back. Food, staff, accomodation all first class, A real bargain. Weather fabulous in February (Sea a bit cold though and also a bit chilly on a night time - just need a light cargigan).

(Report Problem)I have visited sharm twice and no complaints so far! I was there pre and post bomb and as 3 young girls we felt safe both times we went. The food is fab just take stomach upset tablets with you just incase, but there is a serious lack of fruit. Shopping is amazing especially jewellery and bartering is fun. The egyptians are pushy but have a great sense of humour, treat them as you wish to be treated yourself. The scuba and snorkelling fill a day and nights are spent people watching, pipe smoking and meeting new friends from across the globe. I visited in April 2005 ( very hot) and Dec 2005 ( cold at night - take shoes, jeans and jackets) Wonderful - highly recomended place!

(Report Problem)I loved sharm! myself and my boyfriend stayed in the hotel most of the week as it was 5 star all inclusive and really did'nt need to venture far to stay amused, with a private beach and beach bar and excellent snorkelling.Flew to cairo on a trip organised by thomsons for about £150 all in and got to see all the sights there that way. Have recommended it to friends who are planning on going later this year.. you won't need much money, remember to haggle!

(Report Problem)2 weeks in the filthiest place in the world! How people can write good reviews i do not know! The people tell you to f**k off if you dont buy something from their shop, the taxi drivers rip you off and dont give you change! The majority of people and dirty, rude and extremely perverted. The food is average in the hotel, everywhere else it is awful! Cairo is compeltely disgusting, the pyramids are covered in rubbish and you are constantly approached for tips and money. The nightlife is far far far too expensive! The only good thing about the place is the seas! Diving was fantastic but that is the only thing good about the whole country!

(Report Problem)It is a lovely place if you like seafood and swimming. People are very friendly. My friend and I had a very good time last summer. The downsides are shopping and bargaining. They overprice everthing even though a bottle of water. You will not have time to shop around peacefully without fightling with the aggressive shopkeepers. My advice is don't go shopping but just stay at hotel and beaches to enjoy sunshine and relaxiing time.

(Report Problem)We went to Sharm over Christmas and New Year with our 10 year old daughter. I've never been away at Christmas and was dreading it, but it was absolutely the best holiday I've ever had. It never rains in Sharm el Sheik! I couldn't believe it when I was told that! Flew to Cairo and Luxor, would highly recommend (short flights, fantastic experience), wonderful people, great weather, inexpensive to shop, lovely food, what more could you ask for!

(Report Problem)Been to the USA and many European holiday destinations but nothing comes upto the levels of service and quality of Sharm. Nearly all of the workers are male and are from all over Egypt. They work very hard in your interest keeping your room clean, the hotel clean and preparing your food. Naama Bay is OK apart from the constant hassle you get from the shop keepers / restaurant owners to get you to buy. The Egyptians are lovely and are only interested in two things...1. To make your holiday special and 2. Your money! I have to say though that this is the only place I have ever visited more than once and I'll be going again shortly! Have a look at my photos of Sharm at www.pbase.com/iaintwoeyes
