I WANT TO GO BACK..NOW
WE WENT TO THE PUNTA CANA ALLEGRO AND HAD A BLAST. tHE SERVICE, ROOM AND HOSPITALITY WAS WORTH IT. wE WOULD RETURN. tHE BEACH WAS INCREDIBLE. tHE SAND LIKE TALCAM POWDER. WE MET A LOT OF NICE PEOPLE. THE FOOD WAS GOOD. THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS GREAT. THE "DISCO" OPENED LATTER SO AS DID THE SPORTS BAR. WE ENDED UP GOING TO BED EARLY AND MAKING IT AN EARLY DAY. WE SWAM WITH THE DOLPHINS..(A WONDERFUL 40 B'DAY PRESENT) WE ALSO WENT TO CAPTAIN COOKS AND WERE NOT PLEASED AT ALL FOR THE AMOUNT OF AMERICAN MONEY WE SPENT ON THAT MEAL. I WANTED TO GO TO THE JELLYFISH BUT COULDN'T GET THRU THE PHONE LINE TO MAKE A RESERVATION. THE BOYS GOLFED AND ENJOYED THE COURSES ESPECIALLY THE TEETH OF THE DOG. IT WAS NICE GOING WITH ANOTHER ADULT COUPLE. THE KIDS WERE IN LARGE AMOUNTS AND WERE BECOMING ANNOYING RUUNNING INTO YOU, ONE BUMPED JIS HEAD RUNNING INTO THE FOODLINE WITH MY PLATE...AND NO MANNERS. NEXT YEAR TWO WEEKS!!! AND SPANISH LESSONS! WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING BACK! OH AND WE NOTICED NO BUGS!ROOMS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING..MINIMAL WALKING. LOVELY GARDENS.

We stayed at the Barcello Palace for a week in Feb /05. Loved it , hated to leave. This was our 2nd trip to Punta Cana and was certainly a step up in both food and service. The resorts are not Disneyland but if your looking for some "mental Downtime" Punta Canna is hard to beat.Beutiful weather,great beaches and friendly people. Bring small bills for tips( not necessary , but greatly appreciated) and a large insulated mug for the cocktails by the pool or beach.I would recomend this trip to anyone

(Report Problem)Wonderful Anniversary
We stayed at the Sunscape Punta Cana Grande and we cannot "Rave" enough about it. The Staff seemed genuinely happy to serve us.(Where else can I get my Pina Colada served on the Beach, at 10:00 a.m.?) The Food was excellent and the Weather could not have been better. We went there for a relaxing vacation and returned home very refreshed. Possibly if we had had Children with us, there may not have been enough amusements, but for Adults, it was very special. We would most certainly return.

We just returned from Punta Cana and we stayed at the Sunscape beach resort and had a fab holiday - I truly was relxed upon my return and the room, ocean , pools, restaurants were all up to par - i really wonder what people want when I read some of the negative remarks left before my visit - but I can tell us this place is new and in a few years it will commend much more $$$'s to visit - there is prob always something but the staff worked there very hard and it was a relaxing atmosphere and if you wanted to be busy you could - lots of lovely fellow travellers - Hi Warren, Danny from England, and our fellow Canadian travellers from Calgary!! Loved it loved it loved it

We are from the upper mid-west USA. The Occedental Grand Flaminco is Beautiful. I only mention the negatives here 4 you to be prepared. It is a Spanish ownd resort, don't expect to find english speaking staff. there are some but few. I think they cook a lot with coconut oil. we each lost a day to stomach trouble. Drinks are included but you had better like Dark Rum or beer. If not, choice is slim. Bring insect spray for the ants in your room! (a must). The tours inland where a waste of valuble beach time. I know this sounds like we hated out trip to the Dominican, not true, this place itself is Heven on earth! and with a little tweeking it will become a #1 hot spot! We WILL go again, but prepared.

Stayed at Bavaro Princess Hotel, it was excellent. The weather was great, hot and breezy. Drinks were exceptional make sure u try a banana mama. They are great. Be sure to take day trips, one i would suggest: Outback Safari. It is an incredible experience. Make sure u bring lots of hats and sunscreen!!!!

PUNTA CANA, COLD? THE PERSON WHO WROTE THAT ON HIS REVIEW OF PUNTA CANTA MUST HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT ANOTHER TRIP (NOT PUNTA CANA) EVERYONE WILL AGREE ON HOW PERFECT THE WEATHER IS IN THIS WONDERFUL PLACE CALLED- PARIDISE!!!!! IT IS A VACATION WHERE YOU TRULY GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH. EVERYTHING IS GREAT- ESPECIALLY THE LIGHT BLUE,CRYSTAL CLEAR,WHITE POWDERY BEACHES. I HAVE VISITED MANY BEACHES BEFORE AND I CAN SAY THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST.

From the moment you step off the plane until you get back to the airport, you never forget this is a "third world nation." Everything outside the resort is terrible. Stay inside! You might get mugged if you look like an "American." One night, a local managed to climb the wall and cause a security breach! Not good at 2am when the lights wake you up! Never Again!

Regarding that person that typed Punta cana was cold all the time, that person was somewhere else not in Punta cana, That place is beautiful,hot and romantic all at the same time. I went in july 2003 and I had a blast and my boyfriend and I are going again in March 2005. I loved it the beach is nothing compared to cuba the water is warm and clear the sands are sandy brown so soft between your toes. The people there are very nice and attentive. Especialy at night on the beach it's so romantic with the music playing and the wind blowing and The food is very good. I recommed to go visit Punta Cana.
