It is a place for people interested in culture and history. Not a place to have fun. For that one can go to Brazil or Thailand etc., Headed 3 groups of people during the last four years on a tour. They were fascinated with what they saw, especially the people. Nice people, hard working with dignity. The country is improving by the day. Visit Armenia and you will not regret at all

(Report Problem)I was there on business and found Yerevan quaint and sweet. I wish I had had more time to travel outside the city since I heard the hiking and other cities were really nice as well. After reading these reviews the only thing I learned is there was certianly one bored teenager somewhere on June 5th, 2007. Ha!

(Report Problem)I have read the first comments and i am shocked with all the negativity...it seems like everyone is mentioning Turkey and Azerbadjian (im not quiet sure about this country)...Im spanish and i visited Yerevan because friend , armenian one recommended me and I loved it. It was historical, women looked spanish - so pretty and people in general were very kind and welcoming. It wouldnt be the greatest place to go to if you are looking for beaches and exotic atmosphere but its historical and very pleasant place.

(Report Problem)The absuridity of Yahoo travel polling is just this: I or anyone else, whether they went to Yerevan or not, can write anything they want and tilt the rating in any way. Armenia and Azerbaijan are in a conflict over land historically held by both and now held by Armenia--how many negatives in this rating are simply disgruntled Azeris, and how many actually experienced the country? Would we ever know? Yahoo--your system is ludicrous and unreliable. Yerevan is-- like any world city--both great and sad. It has the best and worst of humanity, and a cosmpolitan atmosphere some love and some hate. Nost importantly it is over 2800 years old, making it the oldest continously inhabited city in the Near East after the levant. Yerevan's best is its cafes and people, genuinely warm, friendly (despite the obviosu propaganda in an earlier review) they like Americans, as many live in America as in Armenia, and they are on the hustle to a better life. Armenia's best is in and out of the country, go to web sites like tourarmenia.info or cilicia.com to get a real picture of Yerevan.

(Report Problem)Armenia is a beutiful place to visit. Not only is their natural beuty but a wonderful capitol full of cafes restaurants and museums. There are many historic churchs and other buildings to see as well. The people are very kind and will always greet u with a smile. I have been there 3 years in a row and I have been all over Europe and nothing beets Armenia so far. Its very cheap 400 AMD = 1 american dollar and that money can buy u about 4 loafs of bread. When going to Armenia one must definatly visit the Genocide memorial musuem in Yerevan.

(Report Problem)I am armenian...I have lived there 15 years of my life...it was the most awful period of my life...in fact I am shy that i am Armenian...in fact there isnt worse nation in the world than Armenia...I have lived there until these stupid chaevunist guys occupied Azerbaijan lands...I lost all my Azeri friends, my house, my freedom...These guys possess all the things of other nations...They dont have anything of theirs...they only think about killing and destroying...Now i live in USA...And i am proud of it, though there are alot of armenians here too...But when i see them, I try not t meet them...I dont expect anything good from them..
