My husband and I had stayed at the sister resort in November 04 (Grand Vela All Suites & Spa). We went back in March 05 to the Club Vela Vallarta. It's very nice, not a 6 star like the sister, but worth the price nonetheless. The food is very good, I believe the pricing for the AI is well within the accepted range for what you have to chose from. The restaurant Andrea was AWESOME. Our 1 bedroom had a lovely veranda that stretched from the living room to the bedroom. It overlooked the first of 3 pools and if you looked right - you could see the Bay. We enjoyed a lovely sunset each evening. Staff are friendly and most speak English. They also will help you with you Spanish if you need it!! The location of the resort is within walking distance of the Marina and the shops and restaurants there. We took a taxi downtown to the Hard Rock and walked along the Malecon a couple of times. The cost of transportation is almost nil. Go - stay at either of these two resorts, you won't be sorry!!

This place was wonderful: the staff and the people were the most friendly and helpful people Ihave encountered while on vacation. This place is so great that I am headed back there again this summer. My family owns timesharing so we have been to many places...this one ranks among the best. The hotel is very clean and accomedating. The location is perfect! I was able to get around and learn the area. This will be my fourth trip to Mexico and my second to this hotel. I am very excited and look foward to the wonderful week I will spending there. I have encouraged other friends to call and reserve a room in this hotel. This is one of the best resorts!!!! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The amenities were outstanding, and the food...wow!! The service that you get when you are there makes you feel like royalty. The entire staff makes you feel like you are number one on their list..I haven't seen that all that much thur my travels. I encourage anyone who likes to have a good time, feel safe, and feel like you would if you were royalty to go and check out this resort.

Great hotel. i've been to this hotel 7 times in a row and recently with the new renovations that took place. Beautiful rooms, fully equiped kitchens, super nice staff, especially the maids. The food was great. The pools are absolutly georgeous, i've been to many hotles in Puerto Vallarta and this hotel has one of the best pool landscapes i've ever seen. There is a quite pool which has a rock waterfall and a little canal that attaches from this pool to the other pool which has a swim up bar, vollyball net and faces the ocean dead on, it's great. There also is a childrens pool to which is great for families as well as a kids club. One of the better hotels in PV...you wont regret it!!!

When i first arrived i must say that i was rather impressed with velas vallartas, but as the day progressed and i started to find dead rats in my room my attitude towards the resort changed! I contacted the manager about our (rather large) rat problem and he apologized and sent a maid to clean them out and gave us a gift basket. The next day we took advantage of the free mountain bikes and when we got back we went to the pool. At the pool i was stunned, however, to find that my 14 year old son was extremely intoxicated from mixed drinks that the bartenders had been serving him from the swim up bar. We had to go to the hospital to get his stomach pumped and needless to say it was a huge ordeal. The next day i got sick from the water i believe and threw up on my mother on her 85th birthday that we were celebrating. All in all this was a horrible experience that i would like to forget as soon as possible

It was the most comfortable and relaxing place I could have chosen. The staff were excellent and treated me like I actually owned the place. Every amenity was outstanding and the assistance from the everyone was memorable. The room was fantastic and very comfortable and other guests were ever so friendly. I've not been there for a couple of years now but I'm returning this year and looking foreward to it with great anticipation.

best vacationmywife and i ever took. gorgous resort, but we met a couple down there who owned a timeshare at the resort and their all-inclusive pass was much less then ours. luckly my wife is a genious and haggled the resort manager down to that couples price for our all-inclusive pass. so if your going down tell them you want a cheaper all-inclusive pass, no matter what price they say is their best

Our family had an absoulutly awesome time at Vellas Vallarta. It is a beautiful resort. We had a very nice ocean view with gorgous sunsets. Fire works just about every night we were there. Including some above our balcony over looking a beach front wedding. Not to mention all the activities to take part in around the city.I recommend this resort to anyone who is traveling to Peurto Vallarta! We will definatly be back next year!
