I was very dissapointed in my stay at The New Otani Hotel and Garden. I was directed to the wrong room twice, and when i finally did receive the correct room, what I found was mold in the bathroom, a dirty carpet, an unneatly made bed and a lack of toiletries in the bathroom. The service I recieved during my stay was minimal and I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel staff.

It was the worst hotel I have stayed anywhere in the world. The front desk
was unbelievable - rude and inconsiderated. They dont even bother to look
at you when questions are directed at them, it seemed as if they were too
busy doing paper works than to servce their customers. On top of the
excellent service, the room was old and outdated, the bathroom was moldy
and the wall paper was peeling off.
The Japanese are reputedly one
of the in the world when it comes to customers service but I was very
disappointed, I had better experience at motel across the street from
Disneyland. One and only good thing about this hotel is that is only a
block or two away from Little Tokyo, and if you like Japnese food like I do
that you can risk it.

I have never been so disappointed in a hotel ever! Yes, this is a 3 /2 star
hotel (Expedia ranking) however it is a 3 1/2 star out of 10!
I
don't even know where to start! (However, I am glad I took pictures to
back up my claims)
·Mold in the bathroom
·Filthy
carpeting
·Melted carpet from an iron
·Moldy drapes
·Dirty sheets
- crumbs
· Housekeeping walked into my room w/o knocking twice! On 2
different occasions (Used a master key)
·Totally uncaring staff -
numerous times at the front desk
·No answer at room service during
posted operating hours
However, the most insulting issue that I had
was when I was told that I could not change rooms because I was at a
"Negotiated price" and that was the rooms that they offer at that
price!
WHAT?
It's not like I was asking for an upgrade!
All I wanted was a clean, comfortable & safe room! Is that too much to ask?
(Even at a discounted rate?)
I tried numerous times – unsuccessfully
to contact a manager during my stay only to be told that they were
“Unavailable” and that “Someone will be in contact with you soon”
Unfortunately, no one bothered to contact me during my stay.
There
is a reason the price is so low - Caveat emptor!
