Perhaps the Venetian has taken heed to some of the negative reviews! I just stayed this past weekend and it was damn near perfect. I was most impressed w/ their service - fast, friendly, efficient - practically obsequious! Our room was clean, spacious w/ a beautifully bathroom. No view, but we did get upgraded to a tower room at no extra cost. Casino smaller than other luxury hotels, but I liked that too - less overwhelming/choatic. Also enjoyed their many fabulous restaurants. I had initial doubts about the Venetian, but they quickly earned my respect.

Beautiful rooms, tremendous service, comfortable casino...within blocks of all sorts of other great casinos...wow! From our walk into the grand entry way, to our evening strolls along the canal, a wonderfully romantic experience. What a first great trip to Las Vegas.

Our room was quite a treat. Large, spacious neat and clean. Fantastic service from the moment we arrived. This was our 63rd time in Vegas and the Ventian was the best hotel we ever stayed in and we have stayed in many on the strip. The food was first class even our room service, always prompt and courteous. The gambling was great, both my husband and I were winners. The spa was first class. Our overall stay was outstanding. We are looking forward to returning. Tom and Susan.

We were invited guests to the Venetian so we didn't have to wait in the long line at check-in, which was nice. We arrived a little early so we had to wait an hour or so until we could check in. That was no problem for us. We gave the girl at the desk our credit card number as required for the stay. Our first full day there we had breakfast at the Canyon Ranch restaurant and when we tried to charge the meal to our room, we were told that my husband was not authorized to charge to the room. That created a bit of embarrassment as the waiter and I tried to straighten it out on the phone with the front desk. After being on hold for at least 15 minutes I thought we had that problem solved...wrong! The very next time my husband tried to charge something to the room, he was stopped once again. The suites show a lot of use and need to be updated. The furniture is warn. All of the pools were under construction except one, and that one was not equipped to hold the large number of hotel guests; therefore it was overcrowded and not at all comfortable. Also there was construction debris in the only pool that was working. There were numerous charges made to our credit card that we did not authorize, which created a huge concern for the trust of the employees at the desk. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. We've stayed at many of the other hotels on the strip and have never encountered these sort of issues with any of them. Go to the Venetian and enjoy the beauty, but don't stay there. There are too many screw ups and a huge lack of care. IMO, they are not to be trusted.

Place was very cheap with comps. Our casino host was useless. Sports book was dirty with trash and spilled drinks on the chairs. Security guards hassle you for no reason. Employees are unhappy working there because management treats them very poorly. The rooms are worn and dirty. The only good thing about the place was the cocktail servers who are the best in town. They were very friendly towards me and always made sure that I had a drink. I will miss them. t

Loved it. From the minute we arrived on a Saturday night until check out. Service was so friendly from housekeeping to valets. The room was huge, bathroom was heaven. The hotel was always in pristine condition. Restaurant selections were reasonable to expensive but found things to be of good value. Downside was waiting in lines to check out on Monday, then a half hour wait for the car to be pulled from valet (complimentary).Overall, for a hotel this large to make a person feel special is a major accomplishment.

Enjoy this vegas streaming video. homepage2.nifty.com/awesomevegas/Switch-on-Vegas-Englishsite.htm This video was filmed at grand canal shoppes at Venetian Las Vegas. This hotel theme is ,of course ,Italia. As you see this video, various peformers entertain you for sure. I've never been Italy, but feeling Italy, it's enough for me to come here, Vegas. These entertainers are classically trained singers and actors from all over the world. Go and enjoy several unique shows as these talented performers take you back in time to Renaissance Venice. Performances begin in St. Mark's Square at 11:30a.m. and continue throughout the day until 8:30 p.m.

The venetian has organized the check in process significantly. It is a very easy hotel to check in and out of. The room service was prompt and the food appeared fresh. We loved the spa as well. We stayed on a Thursday night and noted that the limits went up pretty high on the table games during prime times. We play 10's and below. But most of the games were 25 with a few 15's. We'd go back. If you can't hack the limits Treasure Island is just a hop away. And if that is to rich for your blood Casino Royale is next door to Venetian where it gets down to $2 minimums.
