Good value for money, big rooms nice vue if you can get a room in one of the higher floors... it is a shame that the decorum of the hotel is not as good as the other hotels featured in Vegas. However the Luxor is the cheapest of all the big Vegas hotels.

I absolutely LOVE Las Vegas but I hated this hotel. The staff is extremely unfriendly, the hotel is dark and smelly and the rooms are unsafe, dirty, and poorly arranged. The outside door handle was broken, and it was never fixed, nor was my room changed. The jacuzzi tub had hair and slime in the drain so when you turned on the water to the tub, someone else's hair and soap suds came up out of the drain. The beds are old and saggy box spring and mattress. The king size bed had two small pillows and an old "cheap hotel" velour blanket. If you can avoid this hotel -- DO!!!!!!!! The salon is closed indefinately, which was not disclosed to us and made for a mad scramble to get my hair done for an upscale show we had gotten tickets to. The staff did not offer us any information about the mono rail, bus system or even a street map where all of the sights are. The hotel is poorly laid out and is very difficult to navigate. It just has an air of darkness about it. Most of the locals I spoke with don't even go in it.

My friends and I stayed at the Luxor for my 27th Birthday. It was my first time in Vegas and I was told that I had to stay in the Luxor and I'm glad I listented to my friends. There were so many different places to eat within the hotel and lots to do other than gamble the whole time we were there. When ever we wanted to go outside of the hotel we would either walk or catch a cab that was always right there waiting. The room we were in had an amazing view of the strip and that view was even better at night. The food was a little costly but, what can you expect from a 4 star hotel. Club RA was the best part of the hotel. I'm going back to Vegas in October for my 28th Birthday and I'm definetly going to stay at the Luxor.

Overall the Luxor is a beautiful hotel. Clean and not crowded. The rooms are nice, but could be larger. No tubs in the pyramid rooms are a drawback if you have small children. Prices are higher than other casinos we have stayed at. If you like to play slots at the bar and have a drink, beware. Some of the bars require you to put a minimum amount into the slot machine to get a comped drink. The staff are helpful and very polite. Change booths are hard to spot though.Food and drink prices are extremely high

I have been to vegas several times. But since staying at the luxor,i have been back to the luxor every september for four years. Service is great and the hotel and casino are kept very clean. Resturants are pricey, but great food and service. Buffet is good with wide selectios and fresh. Although at the end of the strip, you have easy access to other casinos. Over all i give it an 8 out of 10.Will be back.

Our group was to be in the tower rooms. When we arrived the desk told us they did not know this.I called the group travel coordinator Who insisted that the sent the room requests & that this hotel was known for this. Almost everyone felt that this place was just too big. The pool area was just OK a lot of concrete. Would never stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at The Luxor last week. I stayed in the West tower and was very impressed with the standard and price. Hotel is still quite new and is very clean and modern. Staff very friendly and efficient. Check in area is just magnificent and casino has a great atmosphere. Nice and handy to many shops and also neighbouring hotels Mandalay Bay and Exaclibur. Definitely will be staying there again next time I visit Vegas.

The Key word here is WALK. We won a 4 night air and hotel package at the Luxor through Funjet Vacations so it would be hard to complain. However, if you don't like walking, the Luxor is not the place to stay. Because of how the pyramid is arranged, their are four inclinators, and depending on where your room is, you could be doing quite a bit of walking. Our inclinator was in the back right corner, but out room was directly in the middle of the front side of the pyramid. Thats alot of walking..trust me. Our room was clean, but no tub, as already mentioned by someone else. There were food trays and such, left in always for extended periods. We rented a car, so walking from the parking deck and to the room seemed like 3 miles. We bought a small ice chest and groceries, including our own bottled water, at the store and made our stay alittle cheaper and more comfortable. I hate McDonalds and that was the best thing in the food court, if that tells you anything. I really didn't do any gambling at the Luxor. I did play poker, a tournament, and a 2/4 fixed limit game all night my last night there. I liked the poker room. I found it friendly and convenient. I won $200 for 4th place in tournament and $100 in the 2/4 game. Our rooms were not available when we arrived, but it was 11a.m. Rooms weren't ready until after 3pm, but that was okay, we left our bags with their bellroom, and picked up later. We drove to downtown and I played in the last day of the Four Queens Poker Classic. We did feel the need to tip the bellman for keeping the bags. I should have just told them to bring them to the room, which they will gladly do, (again more tipping). If it weren't for the walking, I think I would stay there again.
