dreaming of going back
the hotel was beautiful. the gardens were exquisite. the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. the staff was very friendly and very helpful. it was child friendly, which is a plus. thank you for the experience.

don't stay at the west
I have been to puerto vallarta 5 times now, and this last time was the worst! The westin hotel is dirty, rooms have fleas, no iron, no hair dryer, tv did not work, food was bad and expensive, spa left much do be desired also dirty, not much equipment, I am sure one can find nicer, cleaner accomidations that the westin, I refuse to believe it is a 5 star resort

Will not go back there
The hotel does not provide sun protection at the beach itself. In order to enjoy protected water view one must be able to occupy pagodas which are set back from the beach of which there are, however, not enough availble to accomodate all guests. Puerta Vallarta looks to turn into the new Los Angeles. Pollution has increased manyfold over the last years and is trapped by the mountains rising behind the city.

would stay there again
Have stayed at the Marriott and the Westin and prefer the Westin. Ate most meals in the Marina area or downtown. Stay above the 7th floor. Beach at Marriott may be a bit better but Westin is better run and cleaner.
