The owners have done a great job making the place look brand new . The rooms are very nice, with nice views. Can't wait to go back to stay in a suite.

this was absolutely the best inn i have ever stayed in. from the pleasant fragrance of our bathrobes, to the turn-down service, to the wonderful breakfast served on our deck, to the friendly helpful staff...our experience was 5-star. we loved everything about Milliken Creek and will be visiting again.

What other reviews have expressed is very accurate. Customer service at this inn is not what it should be for the money it costs to stay there. I had to leave at 6:00 AM in order to be in San Francisco for a flight, and I could not even get coffee before I left because it "wasn't served until 7:00". Give me a break.

They have delightful rooms with balconies overlooking the river. Breakfast is served on the balcony in the morning (if you'd like). The higher end rooms have a spa en suite. I found it to be a lovely place to stay and plan on returning again. It is a little pricy, but I thought it was worth it.

We stayed here on our honeymoon, and had high hopes for this retreat in the
middle of wine country. At about $550/night for a high end room, you would
expect a certain level of customer service. Unfortunately, it just
wasn't there.
Our stay started off with a tour of the facility
by a staff memeber, which was a nice touch. When we entered our room, it
was beautiful and had jazz playing in the background. About 10 minutes
into our stay (as my wife was getting into a bath), a man comes into our
room via a key and starts asking what we are doing in HIS room! Unreal!
Apparently he was staying in this room prior to us, and was moved to a
different room upon our arrival. After a heated debate, and him searching
the room for his things, he stormed off to take this up with the front
desk. NEedless to say that we weren't happy either.
20 minutes
later, the front desk calls and asks if someone can come fix the fridge, or
else it will be broken all week! WHAT? So a dude shows up with a tie-dyed
t-shirt and jeans to attempt to repair the now defunct
mini-fridge.
The part that really upset us though was when we went
to complain, the owners just laughed it off as 'funny'! How about
a sorry or a discount on the room or a bottle of wine or SOMETHING! We
also found it rude that when they found out WHAT room we were staying in
(i.e. $550) and that we were going to be there for 5 days...that they high
fived each other in the lobby. Again, I think that they were kidding
around, but lets be real. At least lie to me and PRETEND that this is a
classy resort.
As for the grounds/rooms - beautiful. IT looks just
like the pictures online. Beyond the fireplace not working, the A/C
shutting off NO MATTER WHAT after 9pm, and the busted mini-fridge, the room
was great.
The massage was, hands down, the best i have ever had.
Relaxing...period. Worth it. Unfortunately the 'customer service'
aspect failed again though, when I went to the front desk right before our
massage to ask for change for a $100 so that I could tip the masseusse. I
was told by the girl at the front desk that 'they don't have any
change, but I can run down to the 7-11 about a mile down the road if I
wanted to.' Well, ain't that sweet of her. I dump $3500+ for a5
day stay, and I can fetch my own change? Nice touch.
My favorite
part though, was after all that, that they gave us a hard time for wanting
to leave a day early b/c we were having a 'poor stay'. They
actually tried to charge us for the remaining day of the reservation, even
though we were giving them 24 hours notice.
Unless you are into
getting treated poorly, or you get a free room, stay at Auberge de Solei
down the street. It blows milliken away.
