Beware of this Hotel & Casino
Be very careful when selecting the Rio. Rooms are not up to snuff--dirty, missing items like pillows, towels and soap, phones that don't work. Beds are uncomfortable. Then the various departments have a noticable lack of desire to solve the problems....The room phone never got fixed by maintenance--no one came while we were there for 2 days. We were told we could only get two pillows, not 4. We had to get soap from a maid in the hall. The gym has limited hours 6am to 12am which might be understandable except they charge $22.00 per day!! What's with that?! Hotel managers have no will or power to solve problems, and there is a lot of, "Sorry, but that's the policy." HS Internet is $9.95 for 24 hours was good, but why the extra charge? Too bad. This hotel was great when it first opened. Spacious rooms, fun atmosphere, nice staff. Somethings going on at parent company Harrah's I suspect. I will not return agains unless or until there are reports of dramtic overhaul. Waaay too many properties in LV to enjoy w/o going to this dive. The practice to charge for every little extra is hurting these properties. Where's the extra to gamble with? Increasingly difficult to earn "comps". All the while, the corporate culture seem to cater only to the "7 Diamonds" or "Whales". But how many of those are there? The awful customer service and property management means these bloated hotels have gone too far. Time to re-think your business model Rio.....and Harrah's.
Great for: Hip/Trendy Scene, Internet Connection
