Hotel is in a great location and the amenities are very convenient you don't even have to leave the hotel. The rooms were large and the staff very friendly considering we were checking in at 630 in the morning and checkin is not until afternoon. Would stay there again. It is a beautiful hotel and up to the Sheraton Standards by far.

If you are travelling to Cairo, you MUST stay at a 5-star place. If you saw the difference between 5 and 4 stars, you would see that it is staggering. If you want to feel safe, stay here. It's somewhat of an oasis in the midst of the chaos that is Cairo. the city is as noisy as New York City, so don't expect quiet nights. My room was very spacious and nicely appointed. After a day of sightseeing at places that have no facilities and are not exactly geared toward comfort, you will appreciate your room alot when you return. The food, however, was not very good. The spaghetti was greasy and the sauce was watery. Oh well. I got a basket of fresh fruit and nuts delivered, free, every day. That was a nice touch. Be careful when you hire a taxi back to the airport. Be sure to negotiate the price in front of the valet, so there is a witness. I did not and the driver tried to up the price on me halfway to the airport! I think this is the best hotel in Cairo. The view from the lounge where they have wine and cheese each night, is spectacular and looks on to the Pyramids. There are excellent sightseeing tours that leave from the lobby... just check the pamphlets near reception for the info. You can book a day in advance for all kids of excersions. very convenient!

I was there this summer and the good things are:
- Nobody disturbs you
or your friends (this is important in egypt)
- Room was spacious and had
much facilities and it was a standard one
- Nice views
- all common
things for 5 stars hotels
The bad things are:
- The food was very
expensive and not abundant.
- All the shops inside the hotel are also
very expensive.
- The TV had no remote controller and they didn't
gave me one.
