Worst Hotel In America!
I write this review 3 years after my visit, but my opinion has not changed. Upon entering the Inn of Six Flags after an 8 hour car ride one evening, we were unwelcomly greeted with the sounds and smells of a smokey karaoke bar. This space used as a bar is also used for breakfast the next morning. When we went to the desk to check-in, the attendant that should have been present, was at the bar, and we waited for her to come over to the reception desk. She had difficulty finding our reservation. After waiting, standing on our feet for 15 minutes, she finally handed us our keys and room number. We thought we were going to finally get a good night's sleep. Or so we thought. As we went to our assigned room number, the key we were given did not work. We tried positioning the key several ways, when finally an old man, who awoke from his sleep, answered the door in his boxers and t-shirt, indicating we had the wrong room. We then discovered that the reception person gave us the right keys, but wrong room number. We went back to the desk, and retreived our correct room number. Upon entering our suite for the night, we discovered that the amenities were just as disappointing as the service. From first glance, the room looked presentable, but as we started to get comfortable, we noticed little things that were lacking cleanliness. For example, mold in the floor cracks and tub seal, cob webs on the light fixtures, heat/air that didn't work, and other little annoyances. We stayed at the hotel for our reserved one night, and not only will we never return and turn other people away, but the Inn of Six Flags continues to be an inside joke amongst me and my husband as the worst hotel in America (and several third world countries).
