On visiting Dublin one thing I found was that a lot of restaurants around the Temple Bar area are typical tourist traps, with average food on offer. Tick outside the box when travelling. Opposite Dublin castle and City Hall, Toscana was a great restaurant. We dined there most evenings during our stay. The kids were welcomed with a great kids menu and the atmosphere was lovely. Well priced, portions big and we wil miss this place. Dublin bus tour, hop on hop off passes this place that how we found it. Dont forget the Guinness hop store, Grafton Street for shopping, and Johnny Foxes tucked away in the Dublin mountains for the best craic in years!
Great for: Romantic Dining, Groups, Kids, Take Out, Dessert Menu, Pizza, Meatballs/Pasta, Seafood, Steak

(Report Problem)Good food, reasonable prices. Be warned though, the chicken wings are on the appetiser list but would actually do 3/4 people as an appetiser! The only annoying thing about this place is that you can only book a table by actually going in on the same day, they don't take telephone bookings so on a Friday or Saturday be prepared for to wait.
Great for: Hamburger

(Report Problem)We were there last night, regulars (every few months) and while we were seated very quickly at 19:30 the food did not live up its former glory. 2 portions of the famous wings used to be enough for 3 but they have definitely cut back. Ribs were incredibly sweet and gooey and not especially meaty. Staff as ever were great, very pleasant and helpful but you can't eat staff (so I'm told) so guys, please back to your former glory. It's not as though your'e particularly cheap or anything.

(Report Problem)Whoever reviewer one is who said that the food was terrible and the service worse must like McDonald's more then real food!! Service is excellent, friendly and mostly efficient bearing in mind that the restaurant caters for over 120 people on an eternally rotating basis!! Wine list is first rate and the food excellent! Salad's are wonderful and their burgers sublime! The chicken wings are to die for!! I can't wait for my next visit!! (I'd go to "The Aul' Dubliner" instead of the temple bar though!!) Just a personal preference!!

(Report Problem)Drop in and put you name on the list. Go to the Temple Bar pub for a couple of pints. Then go back for chicken wings and one of their fab omelettes.
