Pittsburgh is fun, Pittsburgh is exciting, Pittsburgh is one of the best kept secrets in the nation. Wow what a view from just about everywhere, Mt.Washington, the Ft.Pitt tunnel. It's a very clean town with a GREAT football team. I'm from(not as nice)CLEVELAND.

(Report Problem)It's an annoying backwater town. Scarey with rednecks. When there I have this sinking feeling and jusy want to leave. Actually there are a few good pieces of atchitecture there and, oddly enough, one of them is the jail. The Warhols really should be in New York. Hell, I don't think Andy returned to Pittsburgh very often if at all after he left. But, it really was a much worse city a few decades ago. Rather than visit Pittsburgh, he just moved his mother to his beownstone in Manhattan.

(Report Problem)One of the best areas to visit in autumn. Good food, and interesting locations to visit both inside and outside the city

(Report Problem)I lived in Pittsburgh for 33 years. There has never been anything to do worth while. The bars on the south side are dirty and way over priced. The city puts more money into its new stadiums (only one team is worth seeing and I would never pay the price to go) rather than fixing its roads, bridges and decrepid neighborhoods. The crime is out of control. The city itself is a ghost town after 6pm. There is truely no nightlife anywhere unless you like hole-in-the-wall bars where the only entertainment is the drunk jerk next to you. The people are self-centered and rather racist. The government and other agencies are disorganized and dishonest. They tax everything and anything. Check out all the public records, its all there. There are so many other beautiful cities in the US there is no reason to go to Pittsburgh.

(Report Problem)Pittsburgh is a great city! I have lived many places, from the west coast to the east coast, and I found the "burgh" to be one of the friendliest places to live outside of Dallas. In some ways it is very old fashioned- Pittsburgh is an old town with an older population- but in other ways it really rocks! Check out the strip district, terrific museums, the great sports, and the very cool architecture. Pittsburgh kinda looks like a mini-San Fransico with all of its steep hills. Very good food markets in the upper part of town. Warning however: traffic is horrible. One main road with two tunnels and the lanes reduce near the tunnels- a nightmare! Would I live there again? You bet! Great people!

(Report Problem)pittsburgh is a great city that is very safe, and very affordable for families and has a decent amount of stuff to do. I grew up in pittsburgh and visit regularly, so can say for sure it is not expensive (at all) as suggested (i live in san francisco, which is MUCH more expensive)--it is also very safe, i have never known anyone who has had a problem with crime. Pittsburgh is also a university town with CMU, PITT, ect. so there are lots of neat shops and eateries located near the colleges--fun to visit. There are many wonderful parks, museums, restaurants and cultural activities. Kennywood and Sandcastle (the water park) are very fun to visit in the summer. Pittsburgh hosts a wide number of festivals/events as well--some of the best are the oktoberfest, st. patricks day parade and the regatta. Hope this helps!!

(Report Problem)Big city attractions in a small, friendly town atmosphere. Most courteous drivers of any city in the world! You had better be a Steeler fan to get along with the locals. Very manageable city in terms of driving distances. All attractions can be reached in a 10 -20 minute drive. Significant upscale sophistication in restaurants and cultural opportunities. Cost of living and housing very reasonable. Outstanding medical centers. Close to skiing, camping, and the mistake on the Lake (Cleveland). Agreat place to visit and live.
