Got to be locked in dark solitary to see how it felt! Recommend tour...Audio helps alot on this tour. Kinda cool, everybody milling around listening to their audio tour. Talks given by parks are good. Worth the money. Learned about the Indian occupation in the 60's.

We went on the Evening tour after dark & it was beautiful to look back at the city lights of San Francisco. It's alot of walking, but worth it.

I thought it was quite boring actually. Perhaps I should have takent the audio tour as well. Some of the things were interesting, but on the whole I just wanted to get back to the other side to see the sea lions.

It was pretty creepy being on Alcatraz Island. However, the beauty makes up for it. It is so beautiful on Alcatraz, and looking back at SanFran, it is glamourous. It captivates your soul!!!
