Incredible. The place reacks with history. The ENERGY is unbelievable. The main Parthenon temple, is one of the most incredible buildings ever constructed, both in trms of architecture and art. Modern world has a still a lot to learn from these people. Many steps, all around, so not for the faint-hearted, but look at it that way, at least you don't have to climb to the top, carrying heavy sheilds and spears like the ancient Greeks did it. There is also an elevator on the left-hand side and slightly to the back (as you are looking at the main entrance), that will easily bring you to the top, in case you are too tired, elderly, or mobility-challenged. Ask a guard, and you will be happily escorted to it. There is also the place where Apostle Paul first preached the word of Jesus in Europe, and a brass plaque embedded on the rock, that records the fact. Overall, a most amazing experience. Once-in-a-lifetime visit for me and my family. Miss it, and miss out! As far as I am concerned, when the new museum is built, we should return ALL those fucking marble artifacts we stole from them. This is where they belong, and unless one actually finds themselves up there, there's no other easy way one can understand that. Bravo!
