Acroplis still Amazing
Even though there is still a ton of construction going on, the views of the city are amazing and it's incredible to be someplace so ancient. You cannot leave Athens without a visit to this amazing site.

I've spent a lot of time in Athens, and my favorite break from the rest of the world - all journeys worldwide considered - is Acropolis of Athens. For me this is the most powerful symbol of European culture, and carries traces from the important culture of questioning, playing but also the divine. Resting on the cliffs next to Acropolis, after viewing the temples, you'll just feel peaceful. You haven't felt life streaming through you before your have experience this splendid place.
