Ahhh!!! I can only imagine what Lady Liberty must have looked liked to my great great grandmother and grand father as they entered New York harbor in search of a new life and all the freedoms that America has to offer. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

I went one day to the Statue of Liberty while visiting New York City. I was with my mom and sister. We waited in line for more then a hour to get inside. Then we waited to get to the top. We were told it would be a three-hour wait. Instead we went to the middle. It was still a very neat view. If you want to see the Statue of Liberty, plan for a all day trip.

This was very nice to see, BUT.... The ( staff )was rude, not much in the
was of handicap help here!
To get a elavator was not easy and it
required a long wait because everything is keep locked. You need a staff
person to open the doors... they acted like it was a big problem to let us
go up. Then try to find someone to let you down....
