We took the last tour to the top at 11:30pm. The view at night is sensational. Great way to learn about and take in the city in an unusual fashion. The scenery with all the lights appears to be computer generated. It was well worth the half hour wait, and a must do on anyone's to do list in NYC.

(Report Problem)This was amazing. I went there in the evening (8:30pm) and there was no line. Highly recommended.

(Report Problem)the lines may be long..it may take you hours to get to the top..but id tell you its worth the wait! esp when youre in line with someone special..the time just flies by..and when youre up there..its so high that you can touch the heaven..you can just spend hours on top and the view is extravagant!definitely priceless!

(Report Problem)The lines are long and at times you think you'll never see the top but once you are there it is certainly worth it, the views are wonderful. I bought a combo ticket which included a short but fun simulator ride around New York City this then gets you into the elevator line quicker then if I had bought an observatory ticket only. Cost $22.00

(Report Problem)I went here on my senior trip and it was beautiful! The only complaints I have are, that it was too crowded to walk around in and that the people who own some of the restaurants downstairs are VERY VERY rude!

(Report Problem)Long lines, trying to sell you everything, but wonderful view.

(Report Problem)I found this place to be a trap for out of towners.. They sell you everything they can. They take you down a long hallway in the basement to by tickets (3 differnt prices) then up 40 flights for a look out a room with windows( more waiting and lines ) and of course a ($15.00 photo) you have stop and smile with a painted back ground. The man yelling across a crowed room to buy $5 tour ear phones(if you can read there is maps up at the top). The entrance is through a store.. Bring lots of money!

(Report Problem)Now that the WTC is gone, basically all business goes to the Empire State Bldg. They take that for granted and it shows. Waiting times are frustratingly long, staff are indifferent at best and downright obnoxious at worst. Be prepared to be treated like cattle in order to finally catch the admittedly excellent view. Stay calm when you see the gift shop prices!
