Exotic and fun place to visit in NYC!
If you feel homesick for modern Moscow, it's a place to visit although keep in mind that staff do not speak any Russian, however, they do behave like arrogant Russian waiters in Moscow! Cuisine is great, however, keep in mind that it has only Russia names but doesn't taste like Russian food. If you're looking for a nice place to have a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the interior, it's worth to pay a visit. But for real taste of Russia go to Brighton Beach in Brooklyn!

The Tea Room is a a superb venue and the menu fantastic. Sadly, as we found in a number of NY restaurants, the whole event can be spoiled by arrogant staff, whose air of superiority and snobbishness is beyond belief.

I had dinner last night and it was wonderful. The placed looked amazing and it finally had the service and cuisine to back it up!! The currently have the first floor opened for dinner but plan to expand to the second floor and also serve lunch within a few weeks. The correct number to the reservations desk at The Russian Tea Room is 212-581-7100.
