Gabbia d'oro means “golden cage,” and that just about says it all, you may have to see it to appreciate the beauty and flavor of this pallazzo. The rooms are all furnished with beautiful antiques and the walls display extremely valuable paintings and prints. There is a charming orangery in the internal courtyard. The hotel has an old-fashioned feel about it, inspired by the antique furnishings, the ancient walls which surround it and the wonderful service provided by its professional staff.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed! Courteous and helpful staff, beautiful accomodations, every amenity you could think of including slippers! Breakfast was delicious and the elegance of the public areas was perfect!
