Near the Lodhi Garden and Humayun's Tomb, The Ambassador exudes an old-fashioned charm and understated luxury. The interiors have extensive wood paneling and many precious Indian artifacts are displayed throughout the premises. For the best value, book a superior guest room, where French doors open onto private balconies. The executive rooms have a sliding door that divides the bedroom from the comfortably furnished sitting room. But the original Victorian fireplaces are now used for potted plants. The coffee shop, The Yellow Brick Road, which is very popular with the Delhi elite, has an open-kitchen concept and Americana decor. A little less opulent than some of the other upmarket hotels in town, The Ambassador is a comfortable alternative with pleasant service.

Great Experience

The Ambassador Hotel was a pleasent surprise for us. It was our first trip to India and we did not know what to expect. The staff went out of their way for us to make sure we were comfortable and were very helpful. The rooms were big, comfortable and clean. The staff were always around to answer questions and look after any needs. Reception desk was great with our bookings and answering questions. Our driver there was very helpful and took us around everywhere and had great suggestions. The restaurants were also great with their friendly staff. Location is also great from the airport...about 30-40 mins. I know that when I come back to India, I will come back to this hotel.
