This elegant hotel was built in 1927 following the designs of Marcello Piacentini and Swiss interior decorator Emilio Vogt. Ambasciatori Palace Hotel is located in the famous Via Veneto, in the heart of the city, in front of the United States Embassy (which was once the residence of Queen Margherita.) Each of the rooms is furnished with antique rugs and period furniture. The halls are decorated with frescoes by the Venitian Guido Cadorin, and evoke memories of life in the thirties.

The decor of our room was shabby (e.g. cracked toilet seat, dirty walls etc) and was quite small. This hotel scapes through as a 3 star. There are no ironing boards in the hotel, so expect to be stung (15€ a garment) for the hotels ironing service.
