05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserThe InterContinental Manila is the BEST hotel in Manila. The best full service hotel I've ever been to.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserI met someone affiliated with Intercontinental at the airport who wanted to charge me 27 USD for a ride to the hotel. We haggled down to 500 pesos.
The room I was assigned is well apportioned with lots of amenities, however, the carpet was stained as was the bed cover.
The representative at the concierge desk charged me 1250 pesos (23 USD) for a ride to the airport. I know. I wasn't thinking. I was jet lagged. I paid. The driver promptly dropped me off at the wrong terminal. I had to take another taxi to Centennial 2.
This hotel is very popular with business travelers, but the quality I observed was less than that of a Holiday Inn.
