One of the two buildings of this family-run hotel was updated in 1998 with modern furnishings. The other building's rooms are larger and have cozier furnishings. Colorful murals adorn the walls along with abundant posters of movie stars and cartoon characters. The Hollywood Hills Coffee Shop serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a favorite of celebrities, musicians and guests. Not as close to the "center of Hollywood" as you'd think...

Located one street up from Hollywood Blvd, the Best Western is located on the trendy Franklin Avenue. If you're walking, it's a bit of a walk to the center of Hollywood at the Hollywood and Highland complex but if you're driving this hotel is perfectly located next to the 101. Cafe 101 is downstairs...a swanky circa-70s coffeehouse and breakfast joint with poor service and medicore food. Rooms are alright for the price. I'd recommend trying somewhere more towards Hollywood/Highland.
