More and Maps
This is one of the best-known West Maui "fantasy hotels." It features a prime location—right next to towering Black Rock. This 80-foot lava rock foundation figures prominently in Hawaiian mythology. It is also a favorite hangout spot for locals, who like to dive off for fun. The property has three restaurants, two bars, an onsite golf course, a game center and a nightly torch ceremony. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, featuring private lanais.

excellent location! the building is a bit old, but not bad. even though it is located in very crowded Kaanapali beach, it is very quite compated to other holetes on the beach.
06 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserThe rooms are outdated and old. They are not very clean. Cleaning staff is not detail oriented. They don't change the sheets everyday and you have to leave a note each for the same service if you want something done-- usually, at a good resort, if you make a request once, it is honored the entire visit. Poolside service is lousy. Overall-- for the money we paid, we were not impressed. Buffet breakfast has a lot to be desired. It lacked creativity and got old very fast. Food access is lacking at this hotel. It is not kid friendly. There were bugs in our room.
06 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserFirst of all, anyone who does not like this hotel has no heart. I cannot believe the idiots that badly review such beautiful locales. \n \nIf you are going to a four or five star hotel such as this, and you do not know why you are being charged a $15/day resort fee, then you are a certififed idiot. \n \nI have stayed at this hotel on four separate occasions, for about 2 weeks each, and I love it here. The grounds are impeccably clean, the views are breathtaking, the workers are very polite and helpful, and the food is very good. \n \nI stayed in the Deluxe Ocean Front rooms, and they are quite possibly the most beautiful hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Whisper quiet, views of royal blue waters, just outstanding. \n \nAnd for the imbeciles who don't know why they are being charged $15/day for a resort fee, you may want to check out the beautiful river pool, the gym, or the hundreds of little services that the hotel offers for free. \n \nStay there and be entranced.
