We have stayed in the Suites Marbella 8 times. We just keep coming back because we love to experience Mexico for what it is.. beautiful. It is a lush tropical garden setting with all the amenities. If you are used to staying in 5 star American hotels this is not for you although many of the hotels that are so called 5 stars here are not even close to this paradise.
Walk across the street through the Fiesta America and you are on the Pacific Ocean in the most beautiful and protected bay in the world. If you here in January you can see Dolphins and Humpback whales. If you want to see them up close go on a charter (they are cheap and you can see up close) The beaches are public so you have total access.
The Pool at the Marbella is huge and beautiful and you are in an oasis away from the noise of the city
Safe?. It is a gated Community with daily patrols so you always feel safe not that you ever have to worry about that in Mexico
Worried about the water. Don't be. PV have won awards for the purest and cleanest water in the world. We brought the water back and had it tested and it was cleaner than our Canadian water which often stinks. If you are from the US it' even worse. Everyone walks around with bvottled water ( I walk around with Cerveza) cause its so hot not because the waters bad. If you just have to have bottled water its cheap and good.
If you can't stand the culture then Walmart and Sams are just about a mile north of the Marbella
We are planning to retire here: can't afford the Canadian taxes and supporting everyone else in Canada
In summary it is paradise come and experience and stay wherever but the Marbella is one of the best
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
