The hotel was converted in 1935 and underwent an extensive refurbishment a few years ago. A favourite with media-types, the George Inter-continental caters for anyone seeking comfortable, luxurious accommodation. The hotel's Le Chambertin restaurant is excellent and it's also a great place to enjoy some old-fashioned afternoon tea.
