The Italian-Spanish influence is evident everywhere at this hotel. The hand-painted frescos, the bas-relief decor, the fountains, the polished wood floors, the ornate ceilings and the abundant flowers all contribute to class and elegance that is practically beyond words. A favorite since 1923, and a member of Historic Hotels of America, this famed hotel hosted the Academy Awards during the 1930s and 1940s. Guests have included dignitaries like Winston Churchill, Presidents Kennedy, Ford, Carter and Reagan, as well as British royalty.

The public areas are fabulous, but the rooms themselves are not. They're large enough but not well-appointed by modern standards.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserOld, as in eligent, while have all of the modern facilities. Staff was very helpful and I enjoyed my stay. Plan on using this hotel on future visits to Los Angeles.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserStayed at the Millinium Biltmore for 4 days. Room was clean, service was great. Overall, hotel was in the top 10% that I have stayed in. Location was good - about 20 minute walk to the LA convention center. Of course, if you want to get out of downtown and go to Hollywood you'll need a cab.
