Queen & Crescent Hotel was built in 1913 to house the corporate headquarters of the newly formed Queen and Crescent Railroad Company. Its skyscraper stature marked a first for New Orleans and is a fine example of Renaissance Revival architecture. The elegance of early 1900s European style is captured in each of the guest rooms.

I loved the fact that everything was right there at hand. We didn't have to walk far to do everything that we wanted to. From now on this will be my hotel in New Orleans. \n Patrick Newcomb
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserThe room was very nice and comfortable. However, I did not like the fact that the hotel was in two separate buildings and the second building in which I was ensconced was not staffed at all, giving me a slight feeling of insecurity. Room service and the buffet breakfast appeared to be prepared off site (room service was delivered in a bag and I saw the attendent leave the hotel and go across the street to secure additional hot food for the breadfast buffet). The hotel did not have a restaurant.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserI have gone to N.O. several times, but hadn't tried the Q&C. I wanted to stay in a safe hotel within walking distance from the riverwalk and other attractions. It was easy to find, the staff were really helpful and accomodating, and the rooms were pretty nice. I just wish there was a restaurant and continental breakfast, so I wouldn't have to leave in the rain.
