That review written by the Brazilian guy is a bit too exaggerated, as traffic and noise are always major problems is a massive, 3rd largest city in the world like Sao Paulo. I am Brazilian as well. I work in the travel industry in London, UK and use to travel a lot, staying in magnificent hotels, and I can say, from a professional point of view, the Renaissance Sao Paulo is considered one the best hotels in Brazil. Great location, beautiful and modern building, nice and elegant decoration, really class A. Bedroom sizes are normal if you do not want to pay higher rates to stay at the Vinoy Suite, for example, which is meant to be their Junior Suite. Drinks and nibbles at the Club Lounge with amazing views are a must. Regular travellers staying at the Renaissance for business or leisure will not regret at all. And rates are surprisingly average for a hotel like this when you compare with others in the same category.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserWonderful hotel. We stayed there six days in September of 2004. We thought the location, the staff and the amenities were first class. If returning to Sao Paulo we would stay there without doubt. We had some special arrangements made for us and they went off perfectly, smoothly.

I stayed there many times, and each time was consistently excellent. The location is central and the hotel can be a popular place for people to gather for drinks in the Lobby - the vibrant environment adds to the charm of the hotel!
