The only hotel in the city with a championship croquet court, the recently renovated Omni River Place has sophistication unusual for Detroit. Many of its guest rooms overlook the river and it even has its own boat docking facilities. It also features the Waterfront Pavilion for events. The location is east of the Renaissance Center and not within walking range of any part of downtown. Dining options beyond the restaurant on the premises are limited.

Great hotel

The hotel is in an old warehouse building right on the river. Views are great (you can see Canada and, of course, the river). The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable. The Rattlesnake Club is a few blocks away.
