I went to this hotel with my school and i loved it - it has a great location- tastey food - friendly staff - brilliant value. This is a really good place to go, the food in both restaurants are lovely, and the location is brilliant for going down the the water front. Cape town is amazing!! I am planning to come back in the future, but for longer than 10 days! I would recommend anyone to come to this hotel!!
17 Feb 2006 | A Yahoo! UserMy husband and I visited Cape Town for pleasure... this was an old prison- literally- they have converted it into a hotel. There were bugs in the beds that were visible- we realized this only after we were breaking out in a miserable rash. The rooms were so small that you had a very difficult time walking around in the room. Stay away from this place- this was the first place that we stayed at- we were there for only 1 night- It was a terrible experience- and I was ready to write Cape Town off completely based on this hotel- It is a stunning area, not to be missed- but this hotel is one that you will definitely want to steer clear of.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserGreat location (few blocks to V&A waterfront where you can shop, dine, take a boat to Robben Island), friendly and English-speaking staff, good restaurant & bar, very safe with monitored entrances/exits, and they have a hotel cat!
