Quality not equal to the price

This location is fantastic, peaceful and remote, and the beach is beatiful and pristine, but the hotel doesn't live up to it. Given the prices you have a right to expect more. The rooms are seedy, furnishings average to poor (the outdoor furniture is straight from K-Mart.) The staff is very nice but the food is mediocre and very expensive. There is no drink service at the beach, the room service is very poor, the spa is a joke as is the health club (most condo workout rooms have better facilities.) I wish there were a nicer hotel here. I'll go back to Kauai instead.

You will love it!

The best beach on the big island period. You will love the view and the sound of the ocean. Very quiet and tranquil.
