Count on it

I like Kimpton hotels. They are the opposite of bland. They aslo go out of their way on the customer service. I like to work out and this one has a decent onsite gym but also for a fee provides a pass to a nearby club...which is nice for longer stays. I read about the hotel in a travel/fitness book--the athletic minded traveler...the book was right.

Experience affordable luxury!

My husband and I stayed here in June 2004 and were impressed by the friendly, helpful staff from the moment we valet parked our car to the morning we checked out. I am picky about service, and the staff exceeded my expectations. Beyond the friendliness, our room was hip, had a great view, an offered original minibar snacks. Even the complementary toiletries were top notch: Aveda shampoos, conditioners, soap, and lotion. The location is convenient to downtown, and we will definitely book here next time we visit Portland.
