Windermere Hotel is a comfortable, welcoming guesthouse in Central London, close to Victoria coach and rail stations. Some of London's major sights, including Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey are within easy reach. In fact, Warwick Way was apparently once known as the Abbott's Lane because it was the main road that connected Westminster Abbey with Abbott's Grange, the house of the Abbey's Abbot. Number 144 Warwick Way is thought to stand at the point where the gate to the Grange once was. The present hotel was built in 1857 and may have been the earliest bed and breakfast hotel in the area when it became The Pimlico Rooms in 1881. The Windermere has won a number of awards and was a finalist in the London Tourism Awards category for Bed and Breakfast of the Year. Room sizes range from singles to family rooms for four people.
