This lovely hotel, located in the heart of downtown, is attached to one of the best Italian restaurants in the city, Pazzo Ristorante. The hotel was built in 1894 and restored in the early 1990s; the richly decorated rooms take inspiration from Oregon's wineries and vineyards. For a special weekend, reserve a two-storey townhouse suite with a jetted tub, or sleep under the stars in a special room with conservatory windows for stargazing from bed. Enjoy nightly wine tasting in the fireside room.

We go every year on our anniversary

If you want romance come here! I would recommend the Garden Spa room. It's the most lovely room in all of Portland. Trust me I've looked. This room has a cozy hot tub on the veranda looking out onto downtown Portland, a king size bed complete with sitting lounge and wet bar. They have gone above and beyond the call of dutywith their elite service. The Romance package is a nice touch to top off the evening. Scattered rose petals, chilled champagne or cider and bath salts set the mood.My husband and I stayed their on the night of our wedding and have made it a ritual to go back on our anniversary for the past several years. It's the best!!!!!!
