This stunning brick Victorian was built in 1892 by the owner of a local iron foundry, which accounts for the cast iron trim, window casements and ornamental pillars. Almost more museum than inn, the rooms and common areas of this registered National Historic Place are laden with an abundance of valuable antiques and the finest in luxurious appointments. A complementary Southern breakfast and afternoon tea are served daily, and were enjoyed by Tom Hanks when he stayed here during the filming of the Savannah portions of Forrest Gump.
