This hotel is set up great for traveling with kids. But I definitely wouldn't recommend it for couples only. The furnishings were a bit run down. But the hotel was clean and comfortable.
04 Aug 2005 | A Yahoo! UserLets start with the hotel. The place is nice. It deserves a 4 star. Indoor pool is nice. The design is a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was also spacious. \nThe only thing that upset me most is that I booked a double bed, but instead they gave me a king size bed. I went to the front desk and explained my situation. At first, she said it was sold out. And acted like it was the best she can do. After explaining that I booked this a month in advance and that I am not satisfied with this, she went to her manager. The compensation from the manager was a free night the "Next" time I come back. I refuse that because this problem looks like it arise from them trying to sell all the rooms earlier in the day. That same moment, another man came in and ask another rep if there is any room available. The rep smiled and said she has a room (but Im not sure if it is a double bed or not). But after hearing my problem, I saw that rep went in w/ my rep into the manager's room. The other guy did not get his room and I ended up getting an extra rollover bed. But frustration did not let me down, I called Travelocity. Oh man, the person at Travelocity helped me out. He called the manager of the hotel and negotiated a free night stay. That was better than nothing. But I was upset with not getting the room I had reserved. Service is 2 star. So to all reader on this hotel, call them in advance to make sure you are getting the right type of room.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserIf you are a business traveler, leave this hotel for families with the 2.5 kids - this hotel was crawling with kids! \n \nMany of the staff were very helpful and friendly, but a couple of them were insensitive, unsmiling, and unprofessional. \n \nExpensive parking and internet access is not worth the trouble. Unplug the phone and just dial-up. The lack of a desk to do work was especially irritating. \n \nAgain, this hotel seems to cater to families and they need to get a clue. There really needs to be an adult only floor and a dedicated elevator to this floor. Many times I wheeled my briefcase into a wet elevator from wet pool users. \n \nMy room had seen better days. Stains on the carpet and unsightly water damage on the ceiling - time for a refurbish and some tilex! \n \nBest part of the stay was the mall across the street and the great restaurants within walking distance. But you can get all that from staying down the street at the Marriott or Hyatt!
