The Grand Continental is an old name in the local hotel scene. Competitively priced, it is on par with the Emperor Hotel in the vicinity, both being a tad worn in façade and furnishings. Its main group of customers are package tourists, particularly from China and from other Malaysian states. An in-house cafe on the lobby level serves local and Western fare.

Pretty Good....quite Fab..

I thought when I went for my holidays there that it was pretty good. Maybe a bit more expensive then the Hotel Grand Continental in Penang, but still good. Friendly staff, clean, nice rooms, and great look. It's a pretty fab hotel!
