Business hotel done in an excellent way.

Very conveniently located along Tun Hwa S Rd, close to domestic airport (but not noisy at all). Very good service. No sign of age in the room, always cosy, comfortable and nice to feel like living in a little suite. Elegantly renovated and yet not overly luxurious.

Tapei Sheraton Hotel

Hotel is great. Staff - not bad. surprise charges? - a lot. for a 5 star hotel, they have a very unattractive, small, indoor swimming pool, and they charge $1,000 NTD if you bring your friends over for a swim. The free breakfast buffet sucks bigtime, and if you have, say 2 kids and you're staying in a room - they charge you and your wife for the breakfast, while the kids are free. in other words you $550 NTD kids $330 NTD so they choose to charge you and not the kids.
lastly, the housekeeping knocked once on my door and opened the door with her own key (i was butt naked) while saying " HOUSE KEEPING"
PS i recommend the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
