This resort was horrible!! When we made reservations we asked for a deluxe ocean view. We ended up with a partial view of the ocean and a full view of a crane and construction sight. The staff were rude and never did accomadate us with the room we reserved. The rooms were in poor condition with the wallpaper peeling off, a broken shower head, and a broken knob on the sink. The rooms did not appear very clean. Also things that are complimentary at most resorts cost you extra at this resort. It was not a very nice way to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

If you've got a pretty good amount of money in your pocket, this place doesn't dissapoint. There are just so many GOOD THINGS. \n \nFirst and most rememberable are the water features. There are several water slides; each is quite enjoyable. My favorite was called the Gorge Chute, where there is this wide, bright yellow slide and the water pulls you down quickly into swirling "rapids." FUN!! The pools are beautiful. Besides zooming down water slides, you can relax in jacuzzis, have a relaxing swim in the "adult" pool, play with the kids under the waterfalls, Or even have a drink in the "water bar." \n \nThe rooms are awesome. I didn't even stay in one of the better rooms, but was very pleased with mine. It was very neat, clean, and had a nice view of the pool. My room was way better than average. \n \nThe staff are always helpful, friendly, and available too. \n \nThere are also many restaurants available as well. They offer several types of food, from japanese and fine dining, to simple burgers and family dinner. \n \nThe shops in the Grand Wailea were very attractive and had a variety of fine products. \n \nThen of course there is the spa. We didn't look at it but talked to another couple who said that it was very relaxing and a good experience. \n \nThis hotel was the ultimate relaxation spot. When you're there, you really feel genuinely happy, with no worries. \n \nI must mention another pro. My family and I also enjoyed driving about 5 minutes to Lappert's Ice Cream shop once and a while. Yum! \n \nI highly recommend this hotel to anyone because this resort fits everyone, kids to senior citizens.
