The Landmark is one of Bangkok's most convenient hotels and, with its myriad of facilities and quality service, it certainly deserves the accolades. Just a decade old, it has its very own mini shopping mall and a great British pub called the Huntsman Pub. Set in the heart of city near Soi Nana, it is a great place to shop for bargains from all the hawkers on Sukhumvit Road. You can also walk to several major shopping complexes and a variety of great restaurants, and the Nana Skytrain stop is right outside the hotel.

I've Been here!

This is the most beautiful hotel, we stayed here on our honeymoon for 2 nights on our way home from Phuket. It was absolutly fantastic and we felt like Royalty! Great place for couple's and buisness people. The Huntsman's Pub is great with a fantastic live band every night who play a real mix of music but it's all brilliant. If you are staying here on your way home remember to keep some smarter clothes clean unfortunatly we didn't and felt rediculous in our beach wear around this very plush hotel! Our only complaint is we wish we could have stayed longer. Can't wait to go back though.

Landmark hard to erase from my memory

I stayed two nights in the Landmark. I booked a suite directly with their web site as I wanted early check in (7:00am), rather than book an extra night.

I got a room on the 22nd floor, but had a disappointing view, as tall buildings tower around it.

The suite was big (over 70 sq m), and very 'designer', but it had some disadvantages; the marble bathroom floor was lethal when wet. I slipped and almost broke a toe! The hotel staff were very helpful, taking me to a local hospital, where an x-ray established that the toe was not broken. Then the hotel had the nerve to try to charge me for the limosine! I was furious. If I had been a real 'American' I would have sued them for endangering my life! This left an unreasonably bad taste in my mouth, which colored my otherwise positive view.

The 24-hour room service was efficient, and served up a good range of food. This was important, as I was in sufficient pain that walking was difficult. The hotel even opened the in-house Thai restaurant out of hours for me!

The area is a bit 'seedy' with some sex-industry outlets nearby, but after the toe-smashing incident, I didn't get out much to make a more balanced assesment.

It is near a Skytrain station, so it's very easy to get around town within the limits of that service. There is plenty I like to do near Skytrain, so I am very happy with that aspect of the hotels location.

The room had a high-speed internet connection, so I was able to work efficiently while room-bound.

I would consider returning, but prefer the riverside location of the Shangri-La.
