The best 4 star hotel in the downtown core is located across the famous Patpong night market and entertainment complex and is privately owned and operated by local Thais. The guest rooms are reasonably spacious, nicely decorated and contain private safes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are a number of quality restaurants on the premises, including the award-winning Le Gourmet, which is run by a French chef. A beautiful pool sits in the rooftop garden.

02 Oct 2008 | A Yahoo! UserI have never experienced a more ignorant and bad reception service. For some reason the hotel had missed my reservation, and did absolutely nothing to try to find out of it, just kept on insisting that I had to pay full price to them on check-in.(I had already paid for the 2-days hotel stay through my travel agent, and had a signed & stamped voucher to prove it). The reception manager was very rude, and eventhough I pointed to the phone number of the Thai travel agent that was stated on the voucher, she refused to call them. Luckily I had my mobile phone, and called my travel agent. After about 1 hour waiting & some phone calls to and fro, I finally got a room. Not a smile, no apology. And it seemed like I got the worst room they got... The swimming pool is crammed, was never able to get a chair. I have experienced cleaner hotel rooms in this prize category, but it was almost made up by the fairly friendly housekeeping staff. Location is great.
