The drawbridge is down, you are welcome to the castle. Enter a kingdom of knights, fair ladies and fine entertainment. You will not want to miss the nightly battle between a fire-breathing dragon and Merlin the Magician at the castle moat. Be sure to catch the fantasy fair midway and the medieval village, too. You will also be entertained during your stay by strolling minstrels. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the service is excellent. The action-packed casino is filled with table games and slot machines galore. Several fine restaurants and shopping areas round out this "city within a city."

We stayed at the Excaliber for 1 night. We planned to stay 4 days, but one was quite sufficient, thank you. Where to begin..? First of all, as we walked in the front door it was obvious this was a "budget" motel. EVERYTHING seemed to be covered in a thin venier of old cigarette smoke, and smelled like stale smoke. The carpets were dirty, unattended, unbathed children were EVERYWHERE. The rooms seem dark and old, and have the same cigarette smoke smell. The Bathrooms are in desperate need of upgrades, beginning with a tub(showers only!!),tile replacement and a good cleaning. The service was poor,at best. Every single employee seemed middle aged, tired and wanting to be in a different place. Old meals that were placed in the hallways stayed there for the better part of our stay. By far the worst, however, were the other hotel Guests. This seems to be the place for poor, rural, white Trailer Park America. Truly awful people. EVERYONE smokes. EVERYONE is obese. EVERYONE is loud. It is not like I am a health or neat freak, I even have an occasional cig myself..but Jesus, CLOUDS of smoke are everywhere.. In short, If you want to see how the "Other" folks live, Head on Down..And don't forget the disinfectant.
27 Feb 2007 | A Yahoo! UserThe rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. The only problem was it is towards the end of the strip but it is still located around some other very nice hotel such as New York New York, Luxar and MGM. Will return!
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserOnce we had checked in, our experience at Excalibur was fun. The slots were 'loose', the casino was clean, and the food was good. Unfortunately, all of that still didn't make up for the LONG wait to get checked in when we arrived. There were 2 employees checking in new arrivals, (of which there were 75+ in line), and 2 employees standing at the check-out counter with not a single person checking out! Me thinks the Kingdom needs new Management!
