05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserWe arrived at the hotel the Saturday before Easter Sunday and stayed two days at the Hyatt. We were greeted immediately in the entrance lot by valet, and again in the lobby by bell, and the front desk clerks. We found the service to be prompt and friendly. The hotel room was nice though the beds were small. Everything was very clean. \nI was told that there was free parking at the hotel when I made my reservation only to find that was not the case. They have valet parking only, at a $35/day rate. We parked on the street the whole trip and spent only about $10. The parking meters only require payment from 7am to 7pm. \nThe only other disappointment regarding the hotel was their sports bar Knuckles. We had a late night round of drinks on our way to bed. They charged us $30 for a round of four plus a $6 gratuity. I think the customer should determine the value of the tip and I feel slighted everytime I see it. Overall, I like the Hyatt at the wharf. I will stay here again on my next trip to San Fran.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserRooms are just average, staff is friendly. We use valet Parking as it is more convenient. A nice, friendly Sports Bar & Grill located onsite. Conveniently located to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier39, Ghiradelli Square. Walking distance, which makes it nice. We have stayed there several times and have never had any problems. If you want to stay close to Fisherman's Wharf and the convenience of walking, I would highly recommend this hotel.
