This exquisite 18-room hotel overlooks Crane Beach, voted "One of the 10 Best Beaches in the World" by Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. The resort, built around an 18th Century mansion known as Marine Villa, features rooms with English horsehair beds with spring mattresses, kitchens, hardwood floors and 7.5-meter (24-foot) windows with ocean views. The pool area overlooking the beach is one of the most frequently photographed views in the Caribbean. Once a favorite hideaway for the rich and famous, the American cowboy, Wild Bill Hickock, was among the first to stay at this hotel.

Eager to experiance again
The buildings and their interior decorations were top class. We felt as if we were in a beautiful home instead of a hotel unit, which is difficult to achieve. The restaurant had a beautiful setting, overlooking the pristine beach and blue waters and served up gourmet quisine all day. What was the most fun for us though, was being able to explore the historical grounds. From remnants of the old railway system, to home ruins, to a secret staircase that allowed women to bathe in privacy centuries ago, there was always something to find.

The hotel looked like a castle, my wife and I felt like royalty. We never had such a great luxuirious feeling of utter relaxation by just being in this hotel. \nIt was like being in a dream world.
