05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserThe Good: \n- Amazing three-story palapa over the lobby and waterfall create a wonderful ambiance \n- Great sandy beach with no rocks and good swimming area \n- Nice pool with lots of chairs and many pool activities for kids and adults \n- Good location in Hotel Zone (across the street from shopping center and large Gigante market) \n- Nice spacious rooms, all with balconies facing the ocean \n \nThe Bad: \n- We were given a room with two double beds instead of the Queen or King we requested--front desk told us there were no Kings except those without an ocean view \n- When I requested a room on a higher floor (instead of the 2nd floor room I was assigned) the clerk hesitated a moment as if considering whether it was worth her time to even check, then said the hotel was completely booked already \n- On the third day of our stay several dozen small ants appeared on our bathroom counter \n- When checking out towels from the pool stand one day, the attendant mumbled something about "come back in five mintes" even though there was a stack of clean towels right behind her--I had to ask several times why she could give us two of those before she finally relented \n- The FA's timeshare reps are set up at a table in the lobby outside of the elevators, so you get harrassed about timeshares even in your own hotel \n- Food in the hotel restaurants is very expensive, although my wife thought the quality was good \n \nThe quibbles I had would be enough for me to look at staying somewhere else next time I return to Vallarta. I think you could get more value out of staying in a hotel in the Romantic Zone and you
