This pleasant hotel is located on Monte Igeldo, next to the fun fair and just 15 minutes from the centre of town by car. It's essential to have use of a car if you are staying here as public transportation is poor. The Hotel Monte Igeldo dominates the bay, offering a magnificent view of LaConcha beach. Its tower looks rather like a castle. The refurbished premises offer guests the opportunity to relax in peace and quiet and enjoy excellent Basque cuisine.

Wow!

Mercure San Sebastian is by far the best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. If you needed something, the staff was there on the double. The food was wonderful and the view was breath-taking. If you're headed for a vacation in San Sebastian, I would strongly recommend this hotel. Where else can you see the sun sink into the bay from a hotel window?
